260a/660a Topics in Syntax: Compositional Syntax
Discussion of two grammatical frameworks in which compositional operations play a central role: Tree Adjoining Grammar and Combinatory Categorial Grammar. These frameworks will be explored for their implications for syntactic theory as well as their consequences for the nature of the syntax-semantics interface.
